Gold Coast trains resume after fatal police incident suspends services
Gold Coast commuters were delayed by up to an hour on Friday evening, after a police incident at Robina station suspended services.
Emergency services were called to the station about 5.15pm after reports a man had been hit by a train. Paramedics tried to resuscitate the man but he was declared dead at the scene.
According to the Translink website, trains were suspended in both directions between Varsity Lakes and Nerang stations and buses were called in to replace affected services.
The lines had been reopened by 7pm, with customers told to expect residual delays of about 10 minutes.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
