Sam Taylor, CEO of Oriental Trading Company, dies
Sam Taylor, the CEO of Oriental Trading Company, died Friday morning following a battle with brain cancer.
Taylor joined Oriental Trading, a Berkshire Hathaway company, in 2008. He gained national attention when he appeared on the television show Undercover Boss in 2012.
Taylor was diagnosed with grade IV glioblastoma, one of brain cancer’s most aggressive forms, in October of 2016. He spoke to KETV Newswatch 7 in April about an experimental treatment he was taking to prolong his life.
“Cancer warriors, we’re looking for options,” he said. “We’re fighting for our lives. We want the best technology and best treatment possible.”
Taylor leaves behind his wife Stephanie and three daughters, Ashton, Celine and Mallory.
