Tomic “buying everything on the Gold Coast”
Controversial tennis star Bernard Tomic is at it again, boasting that “he’s buying everything on the Gold Coast” after raking in over $1 million for his four-day stint on ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’.
The Gold Coast Bulletin caught up with Tomic while the 25-year-old was partying in a VIP room at a Gold Coast nightclub and he couldn’t help but brag about his appearance on the reality TV show.
“I just made a million dollars for four days on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
“I just bought another house. I’m buying everything on the Gold Coast …” he said.
Tomic said he would be heading back onto the pro tour in the next few weeks.
Tomic likes to party.
The 174th-ranked player asked the publication not to report that he was out on the Gold Coast party strip. When told a story would be filed, Tomic said “You guys have written so much s**t about me, I don’t really care.”
His comments come amid an investigation into claims one of his “hangers on” spiked a woman’s drink.
Gold Coast police launched a probe into the allegations after 21-year-old Paige McCarthy was taken to hospital, claiming someone had put something in her drink at The Bedroom nightclub at Surfers Paradise on Sunday night.
There is no suggestion Tomic was involved in the incident or had knowledge it even took place.
